Karl Kehm was born in Germany in 1884. He immigrated to America as a young man. In 1910, he started a concrete masonry company and called it Kehm Construction. Quality and fairness were the guiding principles, and you can still find evidence of that stamp of pride in concrete flatwork that has passed the test of time around Omaha's Old Market. Karl also served as a Representative in the NE Legislature.
Karl Kehm II
Following in his father's footsteps, Karl Kehm II took the lead role at Kehm Construction in 1948 after returning from military service. Maintaining the same high standards, he expanded the business to include heavy highway work and significant commercial masonry projects.
Karl Kehm III
In 1983, Karl Kehm III reorganized the family business as Kehm Contractors with a primary focus on commercial masonry projects. An honestly earned reputation for work well done resulted in many invitations to complete residential work from the owners and contractors who employed Kehm Contractors over the years.
In 2012, Karl's daughter, Anna Kolterman, continued the family business. Surrounded by a team of expert supervisors and craftsmen, she and her husband operate the company with the same commitment to going the extra mile in order to ensure that safety and quality are the hallmarks of every project Kehm Contractors complete.
